Several members of The Street Collective will be involved in the scheduled activities during the premiere of Italian Street Photography Festival (ISPF) this spring. The festival, which takes place at Officine Fotografiche in Rome between April 13-15, will be dedicated to street photography and feature exhibitions, contests, workshops, talks and photowalks. While Forrest Walker and Fabian Schreyer will be on this year's jury panel, Vineet Vohra is travelling to Rome to conduct a workshop in English language. It's meant to be a three-day intensive workshop (April 13-15) tailor-made for those who wish to train their eye to find order in chaos on the streets. This workshop will help ease the anxiety next time you go out to shoot and help you solve the puzzle of composing compelling images in a split second. Most importantly it will help you to see.
We are very happy to welcome two new members to The Street Collective: Yassine Alaoui Ismaili a.k.a. "Yoriyas", from Casablanca/Morocco, and Chu Việt Hà, from Hanoi/Vietnam. Their portfolios have been added to our website and we're looking forward to make them part of our international family.
Chu Việt Hà will be the first candidate for a new series of Instagram-takeovers that will happen within the next few months on our collective's IG-account. Hà is a designer and street photographer based in Hanoi/Vietnam, whose work has been published in several international magazines and exhibited in Vietnam and abroad.
In late August 2017 The Street Collective presented its edit "Summer in the city" during the 1st edition of London Street Photography Festival (LSPF) at "Stour Space" in Hackney Wick, to instruct workshops and participate as jurors in the various contests.
TSC-members Forrest Walker and Dmitry Stepanenko will organize a 3-day-street-photography-workshop in Budapest end of September 2017. It will include a mixture of daily photo walks, photo critiques, portfolio reviews and interactive lectures. This is an intensive workshop with multiple instructors fully involved each step of the way to make sure you get the most out of your time. There will also be an emphasis on helping you fully immerse yourself in the city through street photography, so you can learn, while also having a great time experiencing Budapest.
Looking forward to StreetFoto in San Francisco? Our member Vineet Vohra will be there, teaching a workshop from June 2nd to 4th. Check out www.streetfoto.org/workshops for more infos on the workshop and have a look at this video.
